Reports directly to the Project Manager. The Construction Manager has overall responsibility for the performance of the Area Superintendent (Area construction managers) in terms of HSE, project control (cost control, planning), QA/QC, and contract administration.

The Construction Manager is also responsible for:

• Constructability reviews of engineering/design effort
• HSE, engineering and QA/QC, procurement and material control, and pre-com site functional departments
• Staffing (hiring, termination, promotion, transferring, salary, performance evaluations) of all project field construction personnel
• Implementation and management of the site labour agreement and community relation plan
• Client relationships
• Site Administration department
